This year concluded with a positive sign for tourism in Cyprus, as passenger traffic at Cyprus airports recorded more than 11.6 million passengers, with an average of 32,000 passengers per day (41K/summer, 18K/winter). Passenger traffic in 2023 had an increase of 3% compared to 2019, marking the best performance ever recorded at Cyprus Airports.
Larnaka International Airport received the majority of votes from airlines worldwide in the highly competitive category for airports, with 5-10 million passengers at the Routes World 2023 event in Istanbul. As a result, Larnaka International Airport received top honor among other international airports of the same category.

Jazeera Airways, a low-cost carrier based in Kuwait, has recently added Larnaka to its network of new European destinations for the 2023 summer season. Founded in 2004, the airline serves more than 50 destinations across the Middle East, Central & South Asia, and Europe and operates a fleet of modern Airbus A320 and A320neo aircraft. Jazeera Airways offers a range of travel classes, including Business Class and Economy Class.
The best performing February ever at Cyprus Airports, was this February with a 10% increase in comparison to the passenger traffic of February in 2019, a record year in terms of passenger traffic. In total, more than 454.000 passengers traveled to and from Larnaka and Pafos airports.
